Historically, I have done a "Semester In Review" post where I summarize the highlights of the time period. Given my new arrangements this year, I haven't posted such an update and thought it would be worthwhile to do so. The process has often been a confidence booster, seeing what I spent the year working on and I encourage you all to do the same! Play the attached audio file to hear about my year in review!
2016:Rebirth was about transition, planning, hard work and results! The move abroad was full of change and new experiences. There has been personal development, struggle, success and insight.
As the year draws to a close I am prepared and looking forward to what 2017 unleashes. Travel, adventure, discipline and preparation will be key to goal fulfillment. My confidence levels have been boosted and I harbour an energy that shall thrust me into new heights. I must remember during my forthcoming struggles how insignificant my previous ones have become in hindsight. Facing such challenges with similar resolve will be of utmost importance.
Check out the the video below for all the details and my biggest announcement of the year!
The process for obtaining my Indian visa has been an emotional roller coaster. Alas, I am at the final stages of the application and ready to receive my passport once the payment is transferred online. Between dealing with an extremely hard to contact embassy and worrying about receiving my passport in time, I've learned a few lessons. Listen to my post for the full story!
It's been an interesting year. I'm more self-aware, have developed new habits, maintained old ones and gone through a lot of personal growth. If you're looking for a rapid way to promote personal change, growth and understanding, travel is certainly a great option! My life has it's ups and downs, thankfully, there have been many ups. From new influencial audiobooks (Confessinos of an Economic Hitman) to my yoga practice and teaching jobs, 2016 has been not unlike a rebirth. My desires have transformed into action and positioned me to accomplish more next year. As such, I am naming 2017: LiftOff!
Thank you to all of those who have played their part in making this year happen. There are some parts of the year I wish not to relive. I now more aptly accept how even the seemingly "negative" things in life can lead to unexpected results. 2017 will be a great year and I trust I will have to the strength, courage and determination to continue on this newly forged path.
The past 3 weeks have been a positive upswing and I'm feeling much better. Recently, another trip has been booked. Singapore is the next destination, at the end of February and into March, for my birthday! Hear all about my plans and more below.
