Welcome to Pt. 3/3 of the Life Lessons in KL series. While the trip to KL certainly brought growth and development, this last lesson is the most impactful.
In Pt. 1/3, I discuss the importance of managing expectations and being present in the moment after an annoying situation with a yoga studio. Watch the video here.
For Pt. 2/3, my relationship with money is in focus. Previous I was solely focused on money and this was very balanced. After moving abroad, I didn’t focus on it at all and now I’ve learned to maintain more of a balance. Watch the video for more info.
In the video I mention a restaurant Wild Honey, read about my first time experiencing rich, Turkish coffee here.

If you haven’t seen Pt. 1/3 of Life Lessons in KL, watch it here.
In Pt. 2/3 I focus on changing my relationship with money and implementing it in KL. The fact is, what we focus on shapes our worldview, and our worldview determines those who are in our life. This cycle continues to build momentum, for better or worse.
What’s your mentality like?
Have you noticed you attract people who share a similar mindset? Have you ever consciously shifted your mindset and seen your surroundings, friends and circumstances change? I have, several times in fact. The best part is, the more aware I become, the more dramatic the changes each time I make it happen. This plays a large role in how I create the life I want.

Going to Kuala Lumpur wasn’t apart of my plan, but turned out to be exactly what was needed. Who knew?!
Well, I didn’t know, but I’m extremely grateful to be in a place where I trusted it’s for a reason, accepted it, then shifted my attitude to make the best of it.
It turns out, such an adventure was needed. Since returning, I’ve been making excellent progress in my self-awareness and personal development.
The trip was a catalyst for growth, and I believe, a crucial element in preparation for my next chapter... whenever, and wherever, that may be.

Finishing up with the last of my time in Singapore, I leave the hotel, check into a hostel, explore Chinatown, briefly see someone I met online, and head off to wait for 4 hours at the airport due to the flight not leaving on time.
Once I landed in Kota Kinabalu, I camped on an island for the night. Thanks to a strong sunburn and the noise from the beach, most of the night has been sleepless. Live and learn I suppose. We must try new things before we can improve them and now I know a little more of the specifics to address if I'm sleeping on the beach again.
