Last week I wrote about my iPhone getting liquid damage from driving in the rain, after an attempted camping trip. This was a direct external manifestation of my internal feelings. The frustration, disappointment and anger I was feeling, attracted a situation manifesting those emotions and thoughts.
Returning to Nha Trang, a contact of mine encourages me to read a book she's read numerous times. How Life Works by Andrew Matthews is a simple read and very clearly explains what we think affects how we feel, and how we feel manifests the physical world we live in.
While spending more time at her shop, my contact and I continue our conversation of manifesting thoughts. I express interest in staying in Nha Trang and the associated need for an apartment. She owns an apartment complex with 20 units, but they are all rented out. The earliest possible availability date is the start of Sept. A few days pass and I think nothing of it.
As an international traveller, I accept amazing and interesting things will happen; you need not fight them, but roll with them, expect them, and embrace them; because you cannot understand the connection to subsequent events. My intention for Da Lat was the spend three days there, two in a hostel and one camping. However, my stay turned into seven or eight days (I don't really know because I wasn't checking or remembering the dates). During my extended stay, my iPhone gets liquid damage, I climb two waterfalls, meet a literature teacher who helps me with Solo Trip Report, and a German web-designer who teaches me about crypto-currency and I'm given a fascinating book. It, just, happens — let it.
Two nights ago, my contact says the current tenant will move out on the 14th, and a new one will move in on the 15th, but I can stay the night if I want. I agree to the proposition. In the morning, as I'm finishing up packing my overnight bag and about to step out the apartment, I imagine/visualize myself walking back in with my green backpack on, I feel excited and at home.
When I arrive at the shop (my regular breakfast spot), I talk with my contact. She has just hung up the phone and is staring at me with a big smile.
"That was the tenant who was supposed to move in today" she says, pausing to add dramatic effect.
"Uhuh..." I murmur, cautiously interested in anticipation.
"He have some problems with the visa, and can't move in. If you want that unit, you can move in today!"
It's hardly been an hour since my visualization, damn! This feels the same as when I'm told to move to China, in the next 45 days, during January 2016 — and look how well that's turned out! With my bag ready at the hostel, and despite being late, there's no issues checking out.
The building administrator is waiting with a very simple contract, I don't have to pay a deposit, last months rent, nor utilities and there's no term length — JACKPOT! Talk about manifesting your desires!
The area has a billiard shop, ca phe (coffee) shops, local fruit markets and a rooftop lounge, where I can do yoga. Those who know me well have heard my desire to "just be in between the ocean and mountains". Well, the universe hasn't forgotten that either (see slideshow). *Drops mic*
